Nora was my younger sister. She was beautiful with green eyes and rose-bud tinted lips. She resembled our grandfather, Jacob Weinberg, with a perfect oval face and classic features. She was highly intelligent, intuitive, loving, and tender-hearted. She was honest. She was devoted to her parents and her daughter, Emily. She was present at the births of both my kids, Deborah Joy and Mark Lawrence Mausner. She held Mark at his bris. She was an excellent nurse with practical skills and a loving soul. When we were kids, Janis and I shared a room, and Nora had her own room. Once, when she was about 4, she heard us laughing and was feeling a bit left out. She walked in saying "Don't make funnies!" As a kid, she once won a beauty contest at Purim, dressed as Queen Esther. Our father Walter doted on her. She enjoyed life and worked extremely hard to make a great life for her daughter, Emily. I loved her and will treasure my memories of her.
