My favorite memory was when she was living on the estate of the Barns Foundation. It was not far from where we lived at the time. Both of us young marrieds. Both struggling to make ends meet. The estate was beautiful and of course the art museum in the mansion. A little house was on the estate and that is where they lived. It was an adorable little house. John and I were so impressed that all the trees at the base of them were all tagged with what kind of tree it was. Happy times was when Hamilton was born. I also believe that Roseanna was also born before they left for NY. Your Mom was so happy to become a mother

Thanks for sharing that memory, Aunt Betty. It was amazing that we were able to live in that charming stone cottage on the arboretum grounds of The Barnes Foundation.I imagine that my mom enjoyed being there. I wish I could remember it (yes, I was also born in PA), before we moved to NYC. What is remembered, lives.

May her kindness be a blessing to all who knew her. May memories of her, comfort and protect her loved ones, like a strong and beautiful tree.

Wanted to let everyone know that via the Arbor Day Foundation, you can plant 10 memorial trees (their minimum) more economically, or, you can certainly plant more with them, if so moved. My Mother would love trees being planted, I know. Thank you https://shop.arborday.org/commemorative-trees-for-others?producttype=TIM
