John and I met in 1971 we were both in High School. Ironically, his mom was my religion teacher at Our Lady of Mercy Church ~ for years I living just down the street but never meeting him. Years later when we did connect we had many mutual friends and many mutual interests~ most notably racing, motorcycles and the love of the sport.
Soon after we married and had two amazing children ~ Kristen, the oldest and John.
We took those two to the racetrack every Sunday making countless, fun memories.
After many happy years life got in the way, as it often does.
We both started new - separate lives. With that being said, I would firstly like to thank him for my children who I love. It goes without saying that they are my favorite thing to come out of my marriage.
But I’m also grateful that he taught me how to enjoy the sport of racing. It is because of this that I get to spend quality time with my son and enjoy it with him.
Without him I wouldn’t have my smart and beautiful granddaughter Sophie, who makes me prouder of her as each year passes.
We created this family on our youth - and it came from love.
I wish that we all remember the good times and tell the stories that we had the pleasure of sharing with him.
