James G Polis. 66 of Hempstead N.Y. passed away Sunday morning January 26,2025 after a long illness. Born October 30, 1958 in New York City, he is survived by his sister Mary Dattner and her husband Roland, his sister Cathy Piccolo and her husband Robert, nieces Angela Piccolo and Jessica Piccolo. Grand nephews Daniel Piccolo and Leon Piccolo, cousins George Polis,Henry Polis and James Schmidt. Predeceased by his Father William Polis, mother Catherine Polis and brother William Polis.
James was an avid Mets, Giants, and Rangers fan. He enjoyed politics, poker, music ,concerts, and food.
James was a self made entrepreneur who worked various delivery routes selling ice cream, drinks and cold cuts for various distributors.For the last 11 years James resided at Island Assisted Living where he was president of residents committee. James was loved by the other residents and was inseparable with Rosemarie Martino. James will be missed by all.
