It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of John Patrick Engel on the morning of February 11, 2025 at the age of 72. A long time resident of Forest Hills, John was born on April 15, 1952 in the Bronx, and is the second-oldest of seven children.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, John is survived by his wife Grace, his children Keith, Candice, and John, and his grandchildren Kayla, Johnny, Jason, and Elijah.
He was a man of immense thoughtfulness, deep moral character, and quiet strength. He was a dedicated provider, generous with sharing his skills and knowledge, with an affable sense of humor that he used to brighten the day of those he loved. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, and his constant companion, his pet dog Milo.
His viewing will be on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 4 pm - 8 pm at Glascott Funeral Home, 102-03 Metropolitan Avenue, in Forest Hills, NY.
