Q: What will you never forget about Joanna?
A: I will never forget her absolute love for everyone she ever met. Someone could meet her for the first time and they would be best friends due to Aunt Joanna’s personality. My girls rarely talk to anyone on the phone but any time we called Aunt Joanna they came running to the phone to talk her ear off.
I will miss waiting to pick her up at the airport as a kid, and looking for her wearing her big wool/fur coats making it easy to find her even though it was 95 degrees in Florida.
I will miss you very much Aunt Joanna but you will always be walking besides us all!

She wasn't just my Godmother she was always and will always be my Aunt Jo. She was my mom's best friend that was more like a sister. I am so thankful for the times we've had (vacations, dinners, 4th of July on 105th st, phone calls) and more thankful that my son got to know and be loved by Aunt Jo. Love you always

Q: What will you never forget about Joanna?
A: Aunt Joanna was the glue that held the family together. My best childhood memories were the vacations she took her nieces and nephews on to Dutch country Pennsylvania. We’ll tell the stories of those trips for the rest of our lives and laugh every time. Like when she, my cousin Tina and I “got stuck” on a paddle boat in 3 feet of water and had to be rescued or when she tricked us into going a ride by saying it didn’t move when she knew perfectly well it did! I’ll remember the holidays at her house when we were all together (I don’t think I ever graduated from the kid’s table). And I’ll remember she was so easy to talk to about anything and was fiercely supportive no matter what. Love you Aunt Joanna. You made an impact on everyone who met you. So thankful my kids had you in their lives as well.

What will I remember most about Aunt Joanna? Her fierce love for all of us and her laughter at herself, at her nieces & nephews antics and at life in general. When Aunt Joanna was around we were all in for a great time. Her loss has left an incredible whole on my heart, but I am so very grateful for all of the time I had with her all of my life and all of the memories we made together. I will love you forever Aunt Joanna.

Q: What will you never forget about Joanna?
A: I can go on and on about things I would never forget about my aunt but the number 1 thing will always be the connection n bond I had with her. Me n her would talk for a hour n it would fell like time stopped we would laugh, vent, joke whatever came up. It's going to take a long time to get over the fact I can't just pick up the phone and say hi or get scolded by her for not calling after a few days. Aunt joanna you will never be forgotten and always be cherished and I will use your example of how to love selflessly everyday with Erick n my nieces .love you aunt joanna
