Dr. Cholakian saved my life when I was going to give birth to my baby girl if it wasn’t for him a tragedy would of occurred that day and I probably would of loss my life or my baby girl if he had not come in to the labor room stepping his ground with the dr that wanted me to give birth to my daughter being breach I don’t know what would of happened I will forever be thankful for his care while my pregnancy and for saving my life may you test in peace you were an amazing Dr. my deepest condolences to the family always be remembered ❤️
Through my second pregnancy, there isn’t a day I don’t sing your name in praises and question your early departure from this world. Such a kind soul, so wise, so humble, always treated me like family and extended a helping hand, a kind word, a compassionate piece of advice. I appreciate everything you did for my family, Dr. Cholakian and am heartbroken that you will not be here to deliver my second baby. No one would take a patient with no insurance coming from abroad at 8 months. No one would rush to the hospital in the middle of the night on a Sunday to deliver a baby after he had just finished a delivery. That was him—always put his patients over himself. May God continue to bless his family and bring him peace wherever he is.
Rest In Peace Dr Cholakian. He was my doctor for many years and did 2 surgeries on me. He is the reason I still have both ovaries in me. I am very heartbroken to find out this.

I was so saddened when I first heard of his office closing. I was even more devastated to hear of his passing. He was a quiet, caring, and professional Doctor. I always trusted his advice and he safely delivered my beautiful baby girl in 2017. Rest In Peace, Dr. Cholakian. You have delivered so much joy to so many peoples lives.

I'm so saddened by this. Dr. Cholakian was a wonderful Dr. He delivered 2 of my three children. He was very, very pleasant to deal with and always made me feel at ease. May he rest in eternal peace.
Truly dedicated soul, I am lost for words to discover he passed away. Dr. Cholakian was my gynecologist for 20 years and he delivered my daughter , continued to work with me with utmost perseverance , that truly touched my soul and heart in every way. Please accept my deepest condolences. Dr. Cholokian was G-ds gift to us...he delivered 3/4 children and he truly had magical hands and bed side manner. I am so sad that he is no longer with us and gone so fast and young. And thank you to his wife and children for giving him the strength and ability to be such an awesome doctor all the time! Dr. Ohanes Cholakian was my OBGYN and delivered my daughter in 2014. I will always remember and cherish how he helped me through my pregnancy and delivery of my precious daughter and so, so many others. Sending love and peace to his wife and family at this trying time. He will be deeply missed by the community of Forest Hills and surrounding neighborhoods.
I worked with Dr Cholakian for over 17 years at LIJ. He was a gentle and caring physician. I am deeply sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.
