A tribute to a wonderful mother and grandmother Valeria llanos(Cesy).
A woman of strong will and endurance, a trait passed down from our ancestorial heritage. Mom loved all that was earth from the roots of plants to the rain that made them florish. She loved life with all its wonder and all its uncertainty. She gave us unconditional love even when we gave her a reason to get out the " chanqueleta "
I close my eyes, and I can hear her laughter tears rolling down her cheeks from, laughing so hard, and in turn, I find myself smiling and laughing at the beautiful memories. She provided each and every one of us with her six sense of spiritual wisdom, and it was left up to us to reflect on life choices. We will miss her physical presence, but we will continue to be part of her essence . I find myself sad then I remember a whisper of yes, you can do it. I can still smell the aroma of her cooking. I can taste her famous fry chicken to our traditional meals of pasteles, jamon, pernil, alcapurias and arroz con gandules. She would cater to each and every ones food preference. She would give us a look and somehow we knew to shape up; and that everything would be ok. I am no longer sad, I will miss you, and continue to love you; and will remember you with fond memories.
Rest in peace may your spirit continue its journey of love and guidance love you

I knew Valeria, since I was a child. I vividly remember at Nancy's wedding to my brother Willie how I was upset because my lipstick had worn off (I was 10 yrs old) after dinner. She came over and helped me put some back on. She was always sweet and kind to me. May she be resting in peace.

I remember when I was in my 20’s and didn’t have a job, Mama Vee told me she saw me in uniform! Right after that I became a NYC Correction Officer! She was Love and Light!!
