Obituary for JOSE DAVID AGUILAR LOAYZA November 7, 1925 – February 6, 2022 Mr. José David Aguilar Loayza passed away at home surrounded by his loved ones on February 6, 2022 in Queens County, New York. He was born on November 7, 1925 in El Trigal, Ecuador and was 96 years old at the time of his final departure. David was the youngest of 8 children and is still survived by his beloved sister Emilia. He is now resting in peace with his sons Davisito and Fulvio and his wife Jobina. David honored the promise he made to God on his wedding day and shared 72 years of marriage with his beloved wife. He is survived by his six children: Rosa Escamilla (Luis +), Irma Aboras (Said +), Manuel Aguilar (Gisella), Víctor Aguilar (Mirca), Fanny Zamora (Domingo) and María Edith Vázquez (Álvaro). Also his seventeen grandchildren: Judith Feijoo-Esquivel (Fred), Marcia Bygrave (Dwight), Carlos Geovanny Feijoo (Evelisse), Yasmany Tinoco (María Elisa), Angélica Escamilla, Ahmed Aboras (Thander), Maisa Aboras (Christopher), Amira Aboras, Giselle Aguilar (Nick), Jessenia Aguilar-Bell (Ory), Lizbeth Aguilar, Mónica Aguilar, Gabriel Zamora, Carolina Zamora, Javier Zamora, Peter Vázquez and Kayla Vázquez. And his twelve great-grandchildren: Giabela, Abdiel, Sebastian, David Joseph, Sarah, André, Emily, Lea, Joshua, Olympia, Leonidas and Osias. David inherited from his parents the legacy of entrepreneurship and he in turn passed this gift to his children who passed it on to their grandchildren and they around have passed it on to the next generation and now his great-grandchildren continue with this great blessing. In his youth David devoted himself to agriculture, livestock and the transportation of heavy loads. In 1975 David immigrated to New York in search of the American dream and settled in Manhattan. Been the exemplary family man that he was, in 1980 he realized the dream of rejoining his family when he was able to start bringing his wife and children to NY. Eventually the entire family, including the first four grandchildren, migrated from Ecuador and settled in Brooklyn. The rest of her children got married in NY and the family began to grow with the arrival of more grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to their patriarch as Papi David. Another blessing David gave to his family was that after his retirement, he personally dedicated himself to helping care for his grandchildren. Today many grandchildren have sweet memories of their childhood with Daddy David, such as him having to take the train to go take care of them, taking them to school, playing with them or cooking their meals while their own parents had to work. David honored God in his daily life and therefore loved his neighbors very much which earned him the love and respect of each of the individuals who were blessed to share his life. His passions were reading the newspaper, and playing poker, this last passion jumped a generation, but was shared with his grandchildren and sons-in-law. He will be remembered as trailblazer, optimistic, affectionate, creative, witty, persevering, bold, faithful, dedicated, dreamy (dreamer), determined, intelligent, exemplary, funny, firm, imposing and unforgettable (memorable). The first wake is on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 4:00 pm to :700 pm at the Glascott Funeral Home located at 102-03 Metropolitan Avenue in Forest Hills, NY 11375. Afterwards, his children are taking David back to his homeland. A second wake is scheduled in Piñas, Ecuador, at the Professional Drivers’ Union Hall. His final resting place will be the Aguilar-Feijoo family mausoleum located at the Municipal Cemetery of Piñas, where she will be joining his late sons, Davisito (1956) and Fulvio Aguilar (1993). El nació el 7 de noviembre de 1925 en el Trigal y contaba con 96 años al momento de su partida final. David fue el menor de 8 hijos y aun le sobrevive su querida hermana Emilia. Él ahora está descansando en paz junto a sus hijos Davisito y Fulvio y de su esposa Jobina. Con ella honro la promesa que hizo frente a Dios el día de su boda y compartió 72 años de matrimonio. Y sus doce bisnietos: Giabela, Abdiel, Sebastián, David José, Sarah, André, Emily, Lea, Joshua, Olympia, Leonidas y Osias. David heredo de sus padres el legado de ser emprendedor y él en torno paso este regalo a sus hijos quienes lo transmitieron a los nietos y ellos en torno lo han pasado a la próxima generación y ahora los bisnietos continúan con esta gran bendición. En su juventud David se dedicó a la agricultura, ganadería y al transporte de carga pesada. En 1975 David inmigro a Nueva York en busca del sueño americano y se radicó en el condado de Manhattan. Como el ejemplar hombre de familia que él fue, en 1980 se le realizó el sueño de volver a unirse a su familia cuando pudo empezar a llevar a su esposa e hijos a NY. Eventualmente toda la familia, incluyendo los primeros cuatro nietos migraron desde Ecuador y se radicaron en el condado de Brooklyn. El resto de sus hijos se casaron en NY y la familia empezó a crecer con la llegada de más nietos y bisnietos quienes amorosamente conocían a su patriarca como Papi David. Otra bendición que David le dio a su familia fue que después de su jubilación, el personalmente se dedicó a ayudar a cuidar a sus nietos. Hoy en día muchos nietos tienen lindas memorias de su infancia con Papi David, tales como que el cogía el tren para ir a cuidarlos, los llevaba a la escuela, jugaba con ellos o les hacía de comer mientras sus propios padres tenían que trabajar. David honro a Dios en su diario vivir y por lo tanto amo al prójimo y esto le gano el respeto de cado uno de las personas que tuvieron la bendición de compartir su vida. Sus pasiones fueron leer el periódico, los gallos y jugar póker, esta última pasión salto una generación, pero fue compartida con sus nietos y yernos. David fue bendecido con excelentes cualidades. Él fue perseverante, pionero, audaz, soñador, optimista, creativo, ingenioso, fiel, dedicado, decidido, inteligente, ejemplar, chistoso, firme, sabio, imponente e inolvidable. El primer velorio se llevará a cabo en la ciudad de Nueva York el Sábado 12 de Febrero del 2022, de 4:00 pm a 7:00 pm en la Funeraria Glascott ubicada en el 102-03 Metropolitan Avenue en Forest Hills, NY. Sus hijos llevarán el ataúd de su padre de regreso a su tierra natal. El segundo velorio está programado en la ciudad de Piñas, en el Sindicato de Choferes en una fecha aún no determinada. La misa de cuerpo presente será ese mismo día en el Cementerio Municipal. Su morada final será en el mausoleo de la familia Aguilar-Feijoo ubicado en el Cementerio Municipal de Piñas, donde el será enterrado al lado de su amada esposa y sus difuntos hijos Davisito (1956) and Fulvio (1993).
