Richard and I have been best friends since elementary school. We’ve always been close and in touch with each other even after we left school. We had a lot of fun memories together. The last memory I had with him was when he visited me in Maui. He charmed my whole family, played golf with my wife and was very kind and giving towards my little daughter. Actually when I dropped him and my wife off at a beautiful golf course, it prompted me into playing golf myself. He got me started. We had planned on meeting yearly, unfortunately it didn’t happen. Now I play all the time, just wish I could’ve played once with him. I love and miss you, brother...

My uncle Richard was a caring, loving, affectionate person. I will always remember our deep conversations that sometimes lasted hours. He and my aunt Marla took me to my first jazz concert at the Blue Note and my love of jazz continued throughout my life. He was always so supportive of my passion for singing and anything I wanted to do in life. I will miss him dearly... Sarah
